LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) – K-9 Jack and K-9 Envy with the London Police Department made a successful drug bust the day they retired on Thursday.
Officers said they also found items associated with drug use. They said K-9 Jack was sent to the car and gave a positive alert for illegal drugs in the vehicle.
“It was perfect cause Jack, he’s been at London Police Department even longer than me and Dylan both,” Officer Jordan Childers said.
Dylan Messer, Jack’s handler, and Jordan Childers, Envy’s handler, said they are proud of the K-9s.
“I think he’ll enjoy his days sitting around, but I definitely think that he will he’ll miss the working life,” Messer said.
Both of the canines will get to go home and live their retirement with their handlers.
