An underworld source has told the Record that around a dozen senior gangsters from Edinburgh and Glasgow have jetted out of the country.

Kingpins of the Daniel clan and Mark Richardson’s mob have fled Scotland after Spanish police blamed them for the double murder in Spain.
Police in Malaga confirmed yesterday that the suspected gunman was an “internal member of the Daniel gang”.
An underworld source has told the Record that around a dozen senior gangsters from Edinburgh and Glasgow have jetted out of the country.
Dubai-based rival Ross McGill’s Tamo Junto (TMJ) gang are thought to have had senior members from the Daniel and Richardson gangs under surveillance before they all suddenly vanished.

They are believed to have left the country to escape bloody recriminations after Eddie Lyons jnr and Ross Monaghan were gunned down in Fuengirola.
Head of the family Steven Lyons has now ordered his henchmen to go after the main players from the rival gang after losing his two key lieutenants.
The source said: “Nobody knows exactly where they have gone or how long for but most of them are believed to be in Dubai and the rest are in the Costa del Sol.
“The TMJ gang were watching closely and hoping to catch one of them out in the open but all of a sudden they just upped sticks and left.

“They obviously know they are now all very high-profile targets after what happened in Fuengirola.
“Steven Lyons wants serious revenge for the death of his brother and best friend so they are attempting to take themselves out of the firing line.
“But Steven won’t be content or even able to grieve properly until he claims some serious scalps from within the Daniel and Richardson gangs. Only weeks ago Steven wanted nothing to do with this gang war but now he has been pulled right into the middle of it.”
The Record reported that Steven had pulled out of the feud just days before the shootings in Spain.
He is said to have previously supplied TMJ with information on the whereabouts of targets within the Daniel clan, but decided the heat from police was getting too much.
However, the double murder has reignited his family’s 25-year feud with the Daniel family.
