“You find so much empathy in novels because there you are putting yourself into someone’s point of view. And I’ve always been a big reader. When a movie can connect with someone and they feel seen, or they feel heard, or a novel can change someone’s life, or a piece of music, an album. I’ve had all that happen to me. And that’s the power of good art, I think,” Cillian explained about his love of reading and novels.

Jean “Scout” Louise Finch is the main character of To Kill A Mockingbird. The story is told through her perspective from the age of six to nine. She is the daughter of lawyer Atticus Finch and has a ten-year brother Jem Finch (who is 13 by the end of the book). Scout is a tomboyish character who is in intelligent and unafraid young girl with a bit of temper as she gets into fights with boys.
The book takes place in mid-1930s in the small town of Maycomb, Alabama, and it centers around Atticus working to prove the innocence of Tom Robinson, a black man who has been falsely accused of raping a white woman. The author, Harper Lee, published the Souther Gothic novel in July 1960.
