Chelsee Healey’s boyfriend has been jailed for 24 months after taking part in a “wholesale” drug-dealing operation. Eddie Rainford, who shares a daughter named Cookie with the Hollyoaks actress, was accused of supplying large quantities of cannabis alongside Jay Boyd, 28. The court heard the duo supplied “multi-kilos” of the drug worth up to £45,000. Rainford, 32, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug between November 11, 2022 and September 28, 2023.

After Monday’s hearing was adjourned, Chelsee, 36, headed to Manchester Crown Court today to support her partner as he received his two-year sentence. His plea came just days after Chelsee became the first contestant eliminated from Dancing on Ice in January, around which time sources claimed she was struggling with things at home.

A source told The Sun: “What Chelsee was desperately coping with while on the show was that her partner, the father of her youngest daughter, was in court for drug-dealing and has been sent to prison on remand.”

Chelsee added: “There has been a lot going on with me that I have been struggling with.”

The soap star attempted to keep her partner’s identity a secret when they started dating in 2021, opting to share a select few snaps of him on her social media.

Rainford’s name was revealed after he was spotted in the background of snaps taken at Chelsee’s baby shower. The actress, who has another daughter Coco, welcomed Cookie in December 2023.

Chelsee previously gushed over their relationship, admitting she knew Rainford was “the one” after just a few months.

She said: “This is the most supportive relationship I’ve ever been in. My friends and family love him, and he’s the first bloke I’ve introduced Coco to, which says a lot. I knew he was ‘The One’ within three to four months. I’ve kissed a few frogs, but he’s definitely marriage material.”

While serving with Royal Marines, Rainford was sentenced to six years for violent offences before being released in July 2022, The Sun reports.
