A hospital patient was rushed to hospital after an incident in Edinburgh city centre.
The Scottish Ambulance Service raced to South Charlotte Street, near Princes Street, around 4.40pm yesterday, Wednesday, June 18.
The exact nature of the incident is unknown at this time. Pictures taken from the scene show two ambulances at the scene and a number of paramedics, reports Edinburgh Live.
The condition of the patient is unclear at this time.
Locals passing the incident reported seeing blue lights from the ambulances racing to the scene from a distance away.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 16:40 0n 18 June to attend an incident on South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh.
“Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.”
