Anthony Gordon has fuelled more speculation about a move after being spotted with a current Liverpool star amid growing rumours of an exit.
The 24-year-old endured a mixed campaign with Newcastle, having drifted in and out of Eddie Howe’s starting XI throughout the season.
Despite showing flashes of quality, he struggled to cement a consistent role towards the end of the campaign where Harvey Barnes finished the season as Newcastle’s first-choice left-winger.
That shift has only fuelled uncertainty over Gordon’s long-term future at St James’ Park.
Football Insider previously revealed that Liverpool have been informed Newcastle would be willing to accept a £75million fee for Gordon, with the Merseyside club continuing to monitor his situation.
Now, while enjoying some time off during the off-season, Gordon has only intensified speculation after being seen with a current Liverpool player that has caught attention.

As speculation continues to swirl over a potential return to Merseyside — but this time with the red half — Gordon has added fuel to the fire after being pictured alongside Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones while on holiday.
Jones shared a photo of the pair enjoying their time off, with fans quick to react given the transfer rumours surrounding the Newcastle forward.
Gordon and Jones have maintained a strong friendship off the pitch, both having grown up in Liverpool and representing England together at youth level in recent years.
Liverpool are understood to be long-time admirers of Gordon, and may hope that Jones’ close relationship with the winger could help sway a potential deal in their favour.
While there were early concerns that finances might be a stumbling block this summer, Newcastle’s qualification for the Champions League has significantly improved their Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) standing. As a result, the club are under no pressure to sell key assets.
Gordon registered 16 goal contributions in the 2024/25 season but ended the campaign as more of a rotational option under Howe which could lead to Newcastle reconsidering his future, particularly if a major offer arrives.
