As we head into a scorcher of a weekend, with temperatures expected to reach 33C in some parts of the country on Friday, it’s important to make sure your car has a full tank of fuel ahead of any spontaneous trips to the beach.
Before setting off on any long journey, motorists are being advised to cool their vehicle down by parking it in the shade for a while and stocking up on cold drinks and snacks to make sure you stay hydrated.

Bury – the cheapest fuel this week is 125.7p and that’s at Asda on Pilsworth Road in Unsworth – BL9 8RS.
Bolton – the cheapest fuel this week is 124.7p and that’s at Asda on The Linkway between Horwich South & Blackrod – BL6 6JA.
Salford – the cheapest fuel this week is 125.9p and that’s at Tesco on Pendleton Way in Pendleton & Charlestown – M6 5JG.
Rochdale – the cheapest fuel this week is 124.9p and that’s at Morrisons on Bamford Road in North Heywood – OL10 4PN.
Oldham – the cheapest fuel this week is 124.7p and that’s at Asda on Milne Street in Chadderton Central – OL9 0JE.
Tameside – the cheapest fuel this week is 123.9p and that’s at Sainsbury’s on Lord Sheldon Way in Audenshaw – OL6 7UB.
Stockport – the cheapest fuel this week is 125.9p and that’s at Morrisons on Edgeley Road in Cheadle – SK3 0RL.
