NEW LONDON, Ill. (KWQC) – Honoring the military at a baseball game is a time-honored tradition, and one local man got to experience an arena of applause in his honor Friday.
Army First Sergeant Jesse Howard, from New London, got a military salute on the big screen at the Chicago Cubs game.
Howard attended the game with his wife and two kids.(KWQC)
Howard served in the Philippines, the Middle East and participated in recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina.
