An investigation has been launched after a man was found collapsed with a stab wound near Salford Precinct.
Police say the 25-year-old was found collapsed at a car park on Hankinson Way, opposite Salford Shopping Centre in Pendleton, at around 10.30pm on Friday night (June 20).
Emergency services attended and found the man had suffered a stab wound. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Greater Manchester Police says his injuries are not thought to be either life-threatening or life-changing.
A knife was recovered from the scene, but police are yet to establish the circumstances leading up to the man’s collapse.
Witnesses are now being urged to come forward as enquiries continue.
A GMP spokesperson said: “We are investigating reports of how a man came to be injured, after being found collapsed in a car park on Hankinson Way, Salford around 10.30pm last night (Friday, June 20 2025).
“The man, aged 25, has been taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound, where he remains.
“His condition is serious, but not thought to be life threatening or changing currently. A knife has been recovered at the scene and the scene has since been closed.

“Detectives are conducting enquiries to determine the full circumstances of what may have led to these injuries and would appeal for anyone who believes they saw anything that may assist us, to contact us on 101 or via our online reporting tool, quoting log 4135 of June 20, 2025.
