Two men have been arrested after a shot was fired towards a group of men on a Salford street.
Officers were called out to a ‘shooting’ on Littleton Road, in Kersal, shortly before 3pm on Friday (June 20).
Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to a disturbance involving a group of men on Suron bikes approaching another group who were stood on the street.
The vehicles travelled towards them at speed, before a firearm was discharged towards them, GMP says.
No one has reported any injuries to GMP or other emergency services following the incident so far.
Two men, aged 24 and 36, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A GMP spokesperson said: “The men arrested remain in custody for questioning and we are continuing to follow up lines of enquiry to determine any others involved and the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Additional officers remain in the area for reassurance and to investigate.”
Armed police were seen in attendance at a number of scenes across Greater Manchester on Friday night following the incident, with the 24-year-old suspect arrested in Cheadle.
It’s understood armed officers attended a property on Manchester Road, in Walkden, in connection with the Kersal shooting.
They were also seen making an arrest near to Agecroft Cemetery shortly after the shooting (pictured above).

The Manchester Evening News understands officers spotted a man following the suspects in a van, who was thought to be disqualified from driving.
He was arrested but later released with no further action following checks by police, it is understood.
