Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has shared his thoughts on Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams who could be team-mates at Barcelona next season.
The duo possess a great relationship on and off the pitch, with the rumor mill convinced Williams is set to join Yamal at Barceloan this summer.
De la Fuente has been asked about the speculation and didn’t really want to get into it but did say he thinks Williams has a great future ahead of him.
“Another genius. We’ll see what happens; it’s just football,” he told Marca.
“But Nico is another player who will make history and become a legend. It’s an honor to have such young and talented players.
“They also bring us a lot of joy, and I wish them the best of luck both personally and professionally. “
The Spain boss also had more words of praise for Yamal and says Barcelona’s teenager is improving rapidly.
“He’s definitely growing at an impressive level. I repeat: he’ll be a legend. He undoubtedly has to improve in some areas,” he added.
“We have to take care of him, but he’s growing a lot, and he should be aware that his teammates on the national team and at club level are the ones who will help him become a legend. He’s a sensational kid.”
Yamal and Williams are currently enjoying some time off but may be back together soon, either with Barcelona or in September with Spain.
