EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders star Michelle Ryan has confirmed an “amazing” reunion between Zoe Slater and Kat Moon ahead of her huge return to the soap.

In recent scenes, Kat’s daughter Zoe made a shocking return to Albert Square after it was revealed that she had been secretly staying with Stacey.

Reprising her role after 20 years away from the BBC soap, Michelle appeared in just three episodes before leaving Walford during Thursday’s episode.

After escaping out of the window at Stacey’s and leaving her estranged mother unaware that they had been under the same roof, Zoe booked a flight to Barcelona.

Alfie pledged to bring Zoe from Spain and it looks as though he will succeed as Michelle will be back in Walford for good later this summer.

Taking to Instagram, Michelle shared a video of herself going on a morning walk in which she told fans what to expect from her return.

Teasing a reunion between herself and Kat actor Jessie Wallace, Michelle revealed that the pair have been working together again, suggesting the pair will be seen on screen together soon.

“I haven’t been this excited about work in a long time,” Michelle said. “And being back working with Jessie is amazing, and I can’t say anymore because I’ll get into trouble.”

Elsewhere in the video, Michelle opened up about her filming schedule, explaining that she is currently working doing “night shoots”.

“I have the whole day to do lots of prep,” she said. “And I’m so excited with the material that we’re shooting at the moment, I can’t say anything about it, but I rarely get excited by scripts.

“So these ones are really worth watching, and I might even be tempted to watch and I never watch myself, really, unless I have to.”

Ending the clip, Michelle confirmed that Zoe will be back, saying she was “just excited to be back” and that “Zoe does come back”.

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
