A FITNESS fanatic cop has been charged with allegedly dealing muscle-boosting steroids, we can reveal.

It’s believed buff bobby Robert Isaacs, 32, was collared by his own colleagues in Stirling.

And Police Scotland has confirmed a report on the case has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

A source said: “This has been the talk of the place — it’s not every day that officers are sent out to pick up one of their own.

“He’s a well-known cop and has created a good presence in the local fitness scene.”

The constable, known as Boab, was arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.

Away from his duties as a frontline officer he runs an online fitness coaching service.

He offers tailored workout sessions and promises to turn clients’ “goals into reality”.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 32-year-old man was arrested on April 18 and charged in connection with drug offences.”

Anabolic steroids are prescription-only medicines that are sometimes taken without medical advice to increase muscle mass.

Its side effects can include an increased risk of prostate cancer, baldness, paranoia and erectile dysfunction.

The Class C drug can be taken as a tablet, cream or by injection. Steroids are legal for personal use but they are addictive — regular users often experience cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Anabolic steroids are often used as performance-enhancing drugs to boost muscle mass and decrease fat.

Some people believe taking such substances will help them become fit and healthy but according to the NHS it is a “dangerous drug habit”.

The muscle boosters are addictive, with regular users often experiencing cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
