A major name in the world of boxing has teased making their first WWE appearance.
Fans of WWE may have noticed that the company have been heavily promoting the highly anticipated boxing super fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on September 13, 2025.
The fight, which is being contested for Alvarez’s WBA, IBF, WBC, WBO and The Ring Super Middleweight Championships, will air on Netflix and is being promoted by UFC President Dana White under his new boxing league under the TKO umbrella.
Speaking at a press conference for the upcoming fight, Alvarez was asked about potentially appearing on WWE programming in the future, to which he answered with a tease that it may some day happen.
Alvarez said:
“We’re talking about it. Maybe. Maybe you will see me in WWE at some point.”
Unlike Alvarez, Terence Crawford does have a recent WWE appearance under his belt – showing up on the July 26, 2024 episode of SmackDown and laying out former United States Champion Austin Theory.
