Meanwhile, average wages in Poland’s corporate sector increased by 8.4 percent last month compared with the same month a year earlier, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
The average gross Polish monthly wage last month was PLN 8,670.51 (EUR 2,025, USD 2,325), according to the statistical office.

The figures are for companies with more than nine employees.

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy estimated this month that Poland’s unemployment rate fell to 5 percent in May, from 5.2 percent in April.
The average wage in Poland rose 9.5 percent last year compared with 2023, according to data released by Statistics Poland in February.
The country’s minimum monthly wage increased to PLN 4,666 (EUR 1,110, USD 1,200) in January, from PLN 4,300 in the second half of 2024.
