A ceremony at the City Chambers on Monday was held to present the Armed Forces Day flag.
A small party of piper LSgt Mark Mcrae Scots Guards, Scotland National Parade Marshal Tony Hooman, two standard bearers Billy Morrison and Paul Cooper alongside Eddie Maley, carried the flag into the Chambers where they handed it over to Depute Lord Provost Lezley Marion-Cameron.
Special guests Capt Chris McGinley (Representative of the Royal Navy), Garrison Sergeant Major David Hunter (Representative of the Army) and Air Commodore Mark Northover (Representative of the Royal Air Force) watched on while the flag was red to launch Armed Forces Day to honour the Armed Forces personnel, past, present and future.
