Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks’ Ste Hay pays his ex-boyfriend Rex Gallagher a visit in prison next week, as he vows to get to the truth about DI Banks’ murder.
As revelations continue to come to light, will the teen group’s killer secret be exposed?
Earlier this month, Rex handed himself in to the police for trafficking the teens in the village and for killing corrupt cop Alistair Banks.
But viewers know that he had nothing to do with the death and that it was Frankie Osborne, Dillon Ray and Vicky Grant who fired shots at Alistair simultaneously, to avoid being sold on the dark web.

But as life begins to return to normal in the village, Donny Clark still has his doubts about how things played out – and he tells Dillon that he doesn’t think it was Rex who killed Banks.
“Dillon is completely blindsided by this,” our Hollyoaks insider explains. “He realises that Donny is still investigating Alistair’s death and might be close to discovering the truth. He needs to find out exactly what happened, and fast…”
While Donny and Misbah Maalik are busy, Dillon secretly snatches the police report, which shows the direction of the bullet that hit Banks – and proves which one of the teens killed him.

Meanwhile, Ste asks Donny about Rex’s welfare in prison, and Donny ends up admitting that he doesn’t think his ex-boyfriend is behind the murder.
Ste is desperate for answers, so he finds a way to visit Rex in prison – despite previously saying that he never wanted to see his former lover again.
“It’s a very tense reunion for Ste and Rex,” reveals our source. “Ste was completely devastated when he found out about Rex’s involvement in the exploitation operation.

“However Donny has made him question things, so Ste confronts Rex about why he lied about the deadly shooting. Will Rex give his ex any useful information, or will he keep quiet?”
Elsewhere, Vicky comforts Dillon following a very dramatic week in the village. But what she doesn’t realise is that Dillon knows exactly who killed Banks.
Was the shooter Dillon, Vicky or Frankie?
