Leeds United are pushing to seal a deal for Nikola Krstovic.
Daniel Farke is keen to improve his attacking options ahead of their return to the Premier League, with questions over Joel Piroe’s ability.
Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford cannot be relied upon, and both could exit the LS11 outfit in the transfer window.
Lecce striker Krstovic would offer a different solution for Farke, and it appears that a deal could be getting closer for the Montenegrin forward.

The Leece star is attracting interest from the likes of AC Milan and Roma but those sides are struggling to agree a fee, so Leeds could pounce to secure the transfer.
Corriere dello Sport has reported in its print edition (24 June, page 25) that Leeds have reached an agreement in principle of £19.6million for the forward.
It states that the Whites are set to make an improved wage offer to convince him to leave, which could make him one of their highest earners, as he currently prefers to stay in Italy.

If Farke’s side are to survive in the top-flight, he needs to be backed heavily by the 49ers Enterprises ownership group.
Krstovic is a proven goalscorer at the elite level, notching 11 goals and five assists in 37 matches in Serie A last season, but he cannot be the only attacker who comes through the doors.

The Whites need another forward, given the doubts over Piroe and the fact that they have lost Manor Solomon, who notched 10 goals and 12 assists in a remarkable loan spell last campaign.
They could sign the Tottenham star on a permanent deal; however, Thomas Frank could decide to keep him around in North London if he impresses in pre-season.
Fulham star Rodrigo Muniz is one of the forwards on Leeds’ radar, but it remains to be seen whether they can strike an agreement with Fulham.
Regardless, Krstovic would be an exciting start to business for Farke, and if he can translate his form to the English game, it could prove to be a real steal for the Yorkshiremen.
