A Clare travel counsellor claims rising accommodation prices in popular holiday destinations are counteracted by lower day-to-day costs.
Hotel prices in Spain have soared by over 50% since 2021 with the average room now costing upwards of €150.
Experts say it’s also becoming more expensive to stay in apartments, rural houses and campsites.
Ennis-based travel counsellor Gearoid Mannion however says other costs remain much more palatable.
