A leading roads expert has warned that all major transport projects in the pipeline in Northern Ireland, worth hundreds of millions, are at risk following Monday’s court ruling on the A5 upgrade scheme.
Wesley Johnston said planned projects like the A29 Cookstown Bypass, the Newry Southern Relief Road and A1 Junctions Phase Two could now be open to court challenges under Stormont’s Climate Change Act.
