The West Midlands road where most drivers are caught by average speed cameras has been revealed.
Almost 8,900 vehicles have been clocked speeding on the A4540 New John Street West in Birmingham in the first half of 2025 – roughly 60 every day on average.
It serves as a warning to thousands of Brummies who use the route every day.

The busy road runs north of the city centre, between Hockley Circus and Dartmouth Circus, and is packed with traffic on a daily basis.
There is one spot in particular where average speed cameras operate and catch drivers, as thousands were hit with fines.
They are running in both directions between Hospital Street and Lucas Circus, and this is the danger zone for motorists.
Average speed cameras are in place on a number of busy roads in the region, where there have been concerns over speeding.
Other hotspots for speeding fines include Leebank Middleway/Belgrave Middleway, the A45 Coventry Road and A38 Bristol Road.
