The first show begins on Wednesday (June 25)

The Bristol Sounds stage is being set up ahead of the first of five days of music at the Amphitheatre this week.

Footage shared with BristolLive shows organisers working hard to set up everything needed to bring the popular annual music festival to life, while talking us through specific areas of the site and getting many a music lover excited for the headline shows.

One of Bristol’s staple music events, Bristol Sounds will this year host headline performances from Supergrass (Wednesday, June 25), Kaiser Chiefs (Thursday, June 26), Texas (June 27), The Fratellis (June 28), and Olly Murs (June 29).

From special evening shows to celebrate decades of artists’ music, to a full-day music extravaganza, other names on the line-up in support include the likes of Goldie Lookin’Chain, Sports Team, Lime Garden, Morgan Harper Jones, Cast, Sleeper, Stereo MCs, Turin Brakes, Lucy Spraggan, and Billy Lockett.

Tickets for all dates are still available, according to the official website, however some have limited availability – you can book yours here.

You can find out more about the event – from how to get there, where to park and whether food and drink will be available, to what not to bring with you if you don’t wish to face the wrath of security – in our handy guide here.

If you missed out on bagging yourself Glastonbury tickets this weekend, then this could be the back-up plan you need.
