A woman was astounded by the cost of a full English breakfast during her visit to an eatery in Liverpool. Known for hitting the spot, the full English ranks highly amongst Britain’s most cherished gastronomic delights.
Nothing beats kicking off your day with a hearty meal; however, Suzanna’s encounter at a Liverpool dining spot left an impression for several reasons, as she detailed in a TikTok post following her meal at Aquapod, calling it quite the foodie “find.” She shared a tip for fellow diners: opt for the big breakfast and you’re treated to a complimentary tea or coffee, which would’ve cost £3.95 otherwise.
Suzanna, posting as suzannasolotravel, scrolled through a menu brimming with options, ultimately snagging the irresistible deal to try out the traditional big breakfast.
Showing off the food, she said: “This was the big breakfast. When it came, I was like ‘wow – that is big’, and the beans [were] done separately in a pot, which is just how I always like it.
“The sausages were lovely, everything was nice and fresh. I couldn’t even pick up the plate there. I thoroughly enjoyed every little bit of that breakfast.
“As I said, not greasy, not busy and everything presented beautiful. I’ll definitely be going back to try the pancakes and other bits and bobs on the menu but, look at that mushroom, the size of my head. The eggs were done perfectly as well.”

For those seeking a tranquil breakfast spot, Suzanna recommends giving this restaurant a go, describing it as “definitely worth a try.” She revealed that her bill amounted to £10.95, which she considered to be a “bargain.”
Despite only having a £20 note, she was pleasantly surprised when they only charged her £10 in the end, leaving her astounded by the value for money.
Although the restaurant is renowned for its seafood, Suzanna highlighted their extensive breakfast options, expressing her satisfaction with all the dishes she tried.
One person commented: “Looks yummy.” Another remarked: “£3.95 for a cup of tea – that’s crazy.”
To which Suzanna responded: “When I saw it, I was like ‘that’s the most expensive tea I’ve seen’, but it was free in the end.”
If you’re curious about the cost of an English breakfast in the UK, reports suggest the average price ranges between £7 and £15. However, prices can fluctuate based on your location and the type of eatery.
In London, for instance, prices are typically steeper, while cafes in other regions might serve a quality breakfast for around £7 to £8. It really does depend on where you find yourself.
Venturing into a traditional “greasy spoon” often results in kinder prices compared to what you might find at restaurants or hotels. Moreover, when dishes feature upscale or locally sourced produce, it’s usual for the cost to creep up.
Additionally, breakfast bargains sometimes come with complimentary tea or coffee, though certain spots might charge for these beverages. There’s a whole array of deals on the table depending on where you go.
