The future of Sheffield Wednesday remains uncertain after their hopes of a takeover took another twist.
Wednesday are currently in crisis with owner Dejphon Chansiri running the club into the ground.
The Yorkshire based outfit have been hit with a transfer ban over the next three windows, and the club and Chansiri have both been fined over the non-payment of wages to players and staff.
As it stands, a number of players are still awaiting payment for May and as per the Sheffield Star, will soon be in a position to tell the club they wish to terminate their deals
Amid the chaos manager Danny Rohl managed to steer the club to a 12th placed finish in the Championship and despite interest from Middlesborough, Rohl remains their manager for now.

With clubs soon to return to pre-season, Wednesday have been hit with another takeover blow.

As reported by The Athletic, Lyon’s majority shareholder John Textor will not be the man to rescue the club from their Chansiri nightmare.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believed Textor would have been the ideal man for the job.
And former owner of the club Milan Mandaric will also not step in and secure the club’s future.
The 86-year-old had explored the possibility of a takeover, but has now released a statement saying: “I feel it would not be in the best interest of finding the long-term solution we all want for me to explore further my heartfelt desire to assist at this crucial time for the club.”
Mandric stated the club has “several interested parties,” and The Athletic reported that Chansiri’s family has taken control of Wednesday’s sale process by appointing a lawyer to engage with bidders.

It is another tough week for Sheffield Wednesday supporters who still cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Just one week after speculating he could save the club, Mandric has now pulled the plug on that possibility.
With Textor engaged with financial problems at Lyon following their demotion to the French second tier, the American potentially may not have been able to focus fully on sorting out all the mess at Wednesday.
With Wednesday learning who they will face in their Championship opener tomorrow (26 June), manager Rohl still can’t sign any players.

Mandric stated there were parties interested in a deal with Chansiri over buying the club, but that wouldn’t be resolved for weeks.
Rohl cannot be expected to keep Wednesday in the Championship next season without being able to sign players.
With the highest season ticket prices in the division next season, fans must be thinking whether it will be worth turning out and supporting their team next season.
