In just over two weeks time, Oasis will be preparing to play their first homecoming show at Heaton Park as part of their huge reunion tour. Oasis Live ’25 kicks off in Cardiff next week with two back-to-back shows at the Principality Stadium, before heading up to Manchester for five shows.

Manchester will welcome the Gallagher brothers to Heaton Park on Friday 11, Saturday 12, Wednesday 16, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July, as Oasis perform to over 300,000 fans in their first live appearances since they split in 2009.

Preparations are well underway at Heaton Park and the surrounding neighbourhoods, with information on road closures, parking permits and advice on navigating the area during the shows having been communicated with both residents and the wider public in recent weeks.

Those attending the shows, or other events taking place – which includes Billie Eilish concerts at Co-op Live and Roses T20 cricket at Old Trafford – during that period, will now also be looking ahead to their journeys.

Today (June 26), it has been confirmed by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) that late-night train services will be put on next month following the Oasis shows.

The late services will apply to just the one line that serves Heaton Park, connecting Bury and the city centre, with opportunities to interchange and access Metrolink, rail and bus networks across Greater Manchester.

On the nights when Oasis play at Heaton Park there will be a six-minute service from Victoria Station to Bury. Victoria Station is the only city centre station with a direct tram to Heaton Park.

On Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July the last tram back to the city centre from the venue will be 2.02am, while the last back to Bury will be 01:16am. The same times apply for the Saturday 19 July gig.

While on Wednesday 16 July, the last tram back to the city centre from the venue will be 01.32am, while the last back to Bury will be 00.46am.

Lastly, the Sunday 20 July gig will offer a last tram back to the city centre at 01.30am and a last tram back to Bury at 0.44am.

The Heaton Park stop will be closed at 9pm on all nights, with Bowker Vale the main stop for post-event travel to the city centre and to Bury for these late-night trams.

As well as confirming the late service trams, TfGM has also issued updates on the best way to keep up with any developments on the days of the gigs.

One of the considerations customers will need to make is planned engineering works at Piccadilly, which will mean there will be no trams operating from Piccadilly Station to city centre stops during the shows.

There are also other events taking place across Greater Manchester this July and coinciding with the Oasis dates, including Kool & The Gang and Paw Patrol at AO Arena, Rizzle Kicks and Basement Jaxx at Castlefield Bowl and Billie Eilish at Co-op Live.

The advice from TfGM to those travelling either to the shows or in Manchester over the coming weeks is to allow plenty of time for journeys as public transport and roads will be busier.
