The summer transfer window is officially open with clubs now able to add new signings to their squad. The biggest clubs in European football and clubs across the continent are already making plans for next season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

Livepool have joined the race to sign Viktor Gyökeres, according to reports in Portugal. The 27-year-old wants to leave Sporting CP this summer but the Portuguese side have yet to receive a formal bid. Manchester United and Arsenal have been strongly linked but Liverpool are the latest club to be name dropped in Portugal.
Al-Hilal have reportedly revived their interest in Lionel Messi, according to Sport. The 38-year-old’s contract with Inter Miami runs until December and the MLS side want to renew his deal. But it’s claimed that Al Hilal president Fahd bin Nafel is currently in the United States to discuss a deal with Messi’s representatives.
Juventus remain interested in signing Nicolas Jackson this summer. It’s understood that Chelsea want around €60m to entertain a sale as they’d be happy for Jackson to remain at Stamford Bridge next season.
