Upon hearing the news, Bournemouth East MP Tom Hayes promptly visited the care home.

Mr Hayes was informed of the achievement by Martin Buxton, whose wife is a resident at Muscliff.

Mr Hayes said he was eager to meet the team and acknowledge their “dedication and professionalism” in supporting residents with advanced dementia.

Dedrey Charles, the manager of Muscliff Care Home, said: “We were delighted to welcome Mr Hayes to Muscliff.

“I am incredibly proud that the home has received this ‘Outstanding’ rating for the third time.

“Behind every success is hard work and passion, and my team are so dedicated, enthusiastic and courageous to try new things to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives.”

She attributes Muscliff’s success to a person-centred approach, understanding each individual’s history, preferences and goals to tailor care plans to their needs.

Commenting on his visit, Mr Hayes said: “Thank you for all you do.

“It was wonderful to spend time with residents, carers and families, and the whole team.”
