Taylor Fritz is in search of another title at Eastbourne ahead of the Wimbledon Championships.
The American has a record three titles at the ATP 250 event and he is aiming to extend his record this week.
Taylor Fritz is into the semi-finals following a three-set victory against compatriot Marcos Giron, and he continues his fine record of 15 wins and one loss at the tournament.
Eastbourne is an event where Fritz feels very comfortable, but he admitted that he has been fortunate that one thing has not happened to him during his career at the grass-court tournament.

Mackenzie McDonald is the only player to have defeated Fritz at the Eastbourne Open, which came in 2023.
Outside of that result, the 27-year-old has won each match he has played at Eastbourne, and he thoroughly enjoys playing on England’s south coast.
However, as pleased as Fritz is with his record, he thinks he has been lucky to not play in very windy conditions, which the Eastbourne Open is known for.
“I’ve been here so many years… I love this tournament and I love the way it feels to play here,” Fritz said.
“I’ve been very lucky all those years I won the tournament to not play in very windy conditions… It’s tough for me when I don’t get to play the tennis I love to play and I have to scrap and play crazy tennis.”

After defeating Giron, Fritz will now play Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
The 26-year-old defeated Jakub Mensik 6-4, 7-5 to book his spot in the last four at the Eastbourne Open.
“Today was not an easy day [with] so much wind, we were trying our best, but in the end I’m happy with how I was playing,” said Davidovich Fokina.
“I need to recover my body, there was a lot of diving and sliding on the court today… My muscles are a little bit tired after this match.”
Fritz has lost three of his previous four meetings against Davidovich Fokina, including their Delray Beach quarter-final this year.
This will be their first meeting on grass, however, and Fritz’s record on the surface and at Eastbourne gives him the advantage.
