A woman was seriously injured in a crash on a major Birmingham route this afternoon, Friday June 27.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Hagley Road West just before 2.30pm to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian.
A woman in her 80s was rushed to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Hagley Road West was blocked while 999 crews were at the scene, but West Midlands Roads confirmed at 4.35pm that the scene was clear.
Live traffic system INRIX reporting that queueing traffic remained in the area.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at the junction of White Road and Hagley Road West at 2.20pm.
“One ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Trust’s Critical Care Car attended the scene.
“On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated for serious but non life-threatening injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We were called to the junction of White Road and Hagley Road West shortly before 2.30pm today after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
“Officers attended and a woman in her 80s was taken to hospital, though her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“The driver of the car involved remained at the scene to help officers with their enquiries.”
