Organisers of the hotly anticipated shows have been permitted to boost capacity from 67,130 to 69,990.
The City of Edinburgh Council said its licensing committee approved the increase following consultation with police and public safety officials, as reported by the BBC News.
There were no public objections to the applications.
The Gallagher brothers and their bandmates will take to the stage in the capital on August 8, 9 and 12.
Earlier this week, Oasis told fans that promoters “may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets”.
It is expected that organisers will be able to sell 8,580 extra briefs for the three Edinburgh concerts.
The application to increase Murrayfield’s capacity related to existing seating, which now have a clear view of the stage.
Council bosses have green-lighted similar capacity increase applications for the national rugby stadium in the past.
But it is understood that the extra tickets available for Oasis is smaller than for Taylor Swift’s box office shows last summer.
Councillor Louise Young, convener of the council’s licensing board, said: “An application to increase the capacity at Murrayfield for the upcoming Oasis concerts was approved by the licensing board on 23 June.

“This decision followed consultation with the police and public safety officers.”
Oasis fans on the band’s mailing list received an email today saying “there may be some final production release tickets put on sale”.
Registration for the chance to buy the extra briefs is open until June 29.
Oasis last performed at Murrayfield Stadium in 2009, before the band split amid tensions between the Gallagher brothers.
But the legendary pair put their differences aside and last August it was announced that the band would reunite for a UK tour.
