Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos‘ wedding reception may be coming to a close, as the first stars have been spotted exiting the dazzling party.

Described as the ‘wedding of a century,’ the 61-year-old Amazon founder and the former journalist exchanged vows in front of nearly 200 VIPs on San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice, Italy, on Friday. 

After the intimate ceremony, the billionaire couple threw a star-studded rave – but it seems the lavish event is starting to wrap up as photographers caught Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian dashing out of the celebration and getting onto an awaiting water taxi.

Oprah Winfrey, Ivanka Trump, Usher, and Orlando Bloom are among the other stars who have traveled to Italian city to watch the couple exchange vows – two years after Bezos asked Sanchez to marry him on his $500 million superyacht.

Moments after saying ‘I do,’ the bride, 55, took to Instagram to show off her stunning Dolce & Gabbana gown as she shared a loved-up snap of her and her new husband together.

And while today’s events may be gearing up to come to a close, the wedding is far from over as there’s another extravagant party set for tomorrow. 

The festivities kicked off earlier in the week, and the multi-day affair is said to have cost $20 million.

Last night, as the couple enjoyed a pre-wedding party inside the historic Madonna dell’Orto cloisters, it was revealed Bezos and Sanchez had already married legally.

But the couple’s lavish celebration has certainly not been plain sailing with a freak thunderstorm forcing guests to take cover during Thursday night’s party and protesters planning to disrupt the celebrations, even forcing a late venue change.

Some fans were unamused that Kim seemingly made the ‘wedding of the century’ all about herself.

Moments after Jeff and Lauren became husband and wife, an elaborate fireworks show lit up the sky in Venice.

It’s unclear if they were set off by the bride and groom, but insiders said it went on for a full five minutes and was extremely elaborate.

New bride Lauren debuted a second diamond rock this week, courtesy of jeweler to the stars, Lorraine Schwartz.

She’s been wearing it, along with her $2.5 million enagement ring, throughout the festivities.

Irina Aran, the founder of Facets Fine Jewelry, believes the ring is about 30-carats and could be worth between $1.5 million and $3 million.

The Today host spoke about the lavish ordeal this morning, admitting that she would ‘hated’ to be a part of it.

‘Everybody’s talking about it,’ Jenna said. ‘It’s really public. There’s protests in Venice, which I personally would hate.’

There was one aspect of the fabulous day that raised eyebrows – the couple’s initial invitation.

The invite, which was obtained by ABC News earlier this week, featured what appeared to be computer-generated designs of butterflies, doves, the Venice canals, gondolas, and feathers in purple, gray and pink.

Adobe Express – a content creator tool – took to Instagram with a subtle slight to the bride and groom.

It posted a much more sophisticated-looking version, writing, ‘I know you said no gifts, but… it really only took us a couple minutes. XOXO, Adobe Express.’

According to an insider, police in Venice are expecting more major protests in the area on Saturday.

Activists across north east Italy are said to be planning a march across the city.

It’s been said No Space for Bezos activists have encouraged protesters against other organizations to join in.

While chatting with Vogue, Lauren recalled feeling like a ‘princess’ during her dress fitting, which took place in Milan, Italy.

‘It was more powerful than I thought,’ she added of the moment she put it on for the first time.

She also revealed that Jeff had begged to see her in the gown, but as is tradition for most brides, she explained that she wasn’t going to let him lay his eyes upon it until the big day.

‘I almost gave in,’ she admitted. ‘But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can’t wait to see his face.’

Right after saying ‘I do’ to Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez took to social media on Friday to show off her Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown.

The dress contained lacy, floral sleeves, a tight bodice, high neckline, long flowing skirt with an enormous train, and buttons down the front.

The glamorous, figure-hugging number showcased her stunning physique.

In the photo, the couple beamed from ear to ear, with Jeff wrapping his arm lovingly around her waist.

It came after she rebranded under a new Instagram handle @laurensanchezbezos and it was met with thousands of congratulatory comments.

The billionaire shares his children with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, 55 – who was left heartbroken when his affair with Sanchez, also 55, was splashed across the tabloids in 2019.

But while their new stepmother – and their father – have embraced the spotlight, very little is known about his children.

Bezos, 61, has long been protective of their privacy with only eldest son Preston’s name known to the public.

Lauren Sanchez has seemingly teased a rebrand after nearly wiping her entire Instagram feed in the middle of her wedding to Jeff Bezos.

The choir broke out into song again after the couple said ‘I do’.

Guests were heard cheering and singing along as the choir belted out Whitney Houston’s Higher Love.

The song was also performed before the ceremony as attendees made their way into the venue.

Bill Gates, Queen Rania of Jordan and Oprah Winfrey enjoyed a private tour of San Giorgio island ahead of the lavish Sanchez-Bezos wedding.

They also visited the Galleria dell’Academia to view the Leonardo Da Vinci masterpiece Vitruvian Man drawing which has only recently been allowed on display because of its fragility.

Jeff Bezos has officially left his hotel, about an hour after his bride-to-be Lauren Sanchez.

He departed the hotel with a flotilla of ten paparazzi boats in tow.

Orlando was pictured smiling in workout clothes and cap on the terrace where he appeared to have been comforted by Oprah who placed her hands on his shoulders.

On the island there are 11 small chapels enclosed in private gardens which have been closed for several days and have previously been hired out by the super-rich.

Incredibly rich in history, the gardens include a 128-metre private library and also a maze which are both usually buzzing with tourists this time of year.

Gardeners, builders and electricians have been working to make sure all of the final details are complete ahead of the bride and groom’s arrival later today.

Around 30 ex-marine security men also patrolled the island, in what appeared to be them preparing for the arrival of the 200 guests.

Spaghetti, cheeses and desserts, all made from the Campania region around Naples will be served for the lucky 200 guests.

Michelin star chef Fabrizio Mellino of the restaurant ‘Quattro Passi’ in Nerano, in the province of Naples is said to have been hired for the catering.

Among the main courses of the menu will his signature dish of spaghetti alla Nerano, a recipe based on fried courgettes and provolone, a smoked cheese and which, is a traditional dish that the Mellino family has passed down for generations.

Patisserie Minori Sal De Riso is providing mignon pastries, desserts in a glass and single portions of lemon and ricotta and pear.

While for the all important wedding cake, which will be cut by the newlyweds, they have gone for famous French pastry chef Cédric Grolet, known for his theatrical creations.

Today MailOnline can reveal that the woman in question is Jamie Mizrahi, 36, a Hollywood stylist to the stars and a friend of many years.

Jamie, who lives in Montecito, California with her husband Nico, is friends with Meghan Markle and has had a long-term working relationship with Meghan’s neighbour Katy Perry as well as Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence, Britney Spears and a host of other stars.

The mother-of-two, nicknamed ‘sweet Jamie’ by friends, is also responsible for Adele’s show-stopping wardrobe on stage and is describe by industry insiders as the ‘go-to stylist for every Hollywood A-Lister’.

Before they depart, the couple will have lunch on the island of Torcello where there is only one luxury villa.

Torcello is a sparsely populated island at the northern end of the Venetian Lagoon.

The only villa on the Venetian isle of Torcello, includes a pool and huge garden with the ruins of the ancient Romanesque church of San Giovanni.

They are expected to have a last intimate lunch with their closest friends and family.

During their trip they will also be visiting the island of Murano which is renowned for its long tradition of glass-making and has provided the glasswear for their celebrations.

The villa on Torcello has six bedrooms, five bathrooms and large outdoor pool with a diving board.

It also comes with a butler on request and costs around £250,000 to rent for a week.

The five-star hotel, which is currently hosting around 30 of Bezos’s guests, has five hawks on the property, to stop birds from pestering guests.

San Giorgio island, where Bezos is getting married today, has a slight problem with both seagulls and pigeons, with many bothering tourists and even nipping food out of hands and from tables.

A source told the Mail: ‘It’s the best way to deal with them. They won’t come anywhere near when a hawk is here.’

The famous £2,700 a night Hotel Cipriani, is the only hotel in Venice Brad Pitt will stay in when he visits the city.

The luxury Hotel Cipriani will be a home away from home for the Bezos guests with the biggest swimming pool in Venice, Michelin star restaurants and a terrace overlooking today’s wedding venue.

Staff of Bezos visited the five-star, private hotel at the beginning of the week, to check security measures as well as fly a drone over the opposite island San Giorgio, where one of the wedding events is going to be held.

The city of Venice has previously had to implement measures to deal with the population of seagulls and pigeons.

These have included banning pigeon feeding, using water pistols, and falconry.

The two eligible bachelors shared a water taxi yesterday as they set out to prove that teamwork makes the dream work.

Former husband of Gisele Bundchen, Tom, donned a white dress shirt with the top few buttons undone.

He flashed his signature pearly whites as he also donned a pair of black designer shades.

While Orlando matched his buddy Tom in a crisp white dress shirt as his short locks were elegantly disheveled.

Ivanka and Jared enjoy family sightseeing before wedding celebrations

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner enjoyed a spot of sightseeing yesterday as they were among the first wave of A-list arrivals in Venice.

The couple are joined in the city by their three children, Arabella Rose, 13, Joseph Frederick, 10, and Theodore James, eight.

Ivanka took to Instagram to post pictures from their day in Venice. ‘Da Venezia con amore’ (‘From Venice with love’), she captioned the post.

Today may be Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos’ big day.

Kim – who recently spent time in Paris with Lauren on her hen do – looked incredible in a tiny Balenciaga bandeau top, which also featured a ribbed maxi skirt.

She teamed the garment with snakeskin boots and oversized shades while she shrugged a black hoodie off her shoulders.

By her side was Khloe, who exuded glamour in a skintight leopard print catsuit from her sister Kim’s SKIMS collab with Dolce & Gabbana, that showcased her famous curves.

The siblings were joined by mother Kris Jenner on the outing, who was also dressed in black, showcasing her figure in a low-cut dress.

The official wedding guest list is believed to have under 200 people in what is likely to be a mix of A-list celebrities and the wealthy elite.

Kim Kardashian, 44, has been a steadfast presence in Lauren’s inner circle for years, offering consistent support through DMs and lavish joint outings including Lauren’s recent Bachelorette party in Paris where Kim gave evidence in her high-profile robbery trial.

Lauren and the Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner, 69, have also cultivated a family-like friendship. The pair grew close when Kris joined Kim and Lauren at one of Beyoncé’s concerts on the Renaissance tour in 2023.

The First Daughter, 43, has travelled to Venice with her husband Jared Kushner and their three children. Ivanka’s brother Donald Trump Jr is also set to attend today’s ceremony.

Oprah, 71, will be among the guests in Venice and was pictured arriving yesterday. Oprah recently supported Lauren following her Blue Origin spaceflight in May as she watched the launch in Texas.

The Academy Award-winning actor, 50, will attend alongside his 27-year-old Italian girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, according to People magazine. Di Caprio attended the couple’s engagement party in 2023 at the Beverly Hills home of Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg.

‘They have been married for at least a month, more than a month. The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law,’ the insider revealed.

They added: ‘When they were planning the wedding, they were clear about the fact that they were already secretly married.

‘Whatever happens at the wedding on Friday, it will not be a wedding. Under Italian law, it will not be a wedding celebration, any vows said or rings exchanged will have no legal meaning.’

The source also claimed that Jeff had personally confirmed that he and Lauren are already legally married, and that they had also signed a pre-nuptial agreement to protect his $244 billion fortune.

A-listers forced to take cover as pre-wedding party hit by freak thunderstorm

The lavish event held at the Madonna dell Orto cloisters marked the start of the billionaire couple’s lavish three-day wedding in Venice, Italy, which will come to a close on Saturday.

However, Thursday night’s star-studded soiree was brought to an early end due to the intense downpour.

Guests dived for cover under the vaulted cloisters as lightening bolts flashed across the sky and thunder rumbled overhead at the end of what was a torridly humid day with temperatures nudging 96.8° Fahrenheit.

Torrential downpours and a strong wind left guests soaked as they then dashed for water taxis which had been scrambled a good 45 minutes ahead of the midnight finish time.

One onlooker said: ‘It just goes to show you can have all the money in the world but you cant control the weather – although an Italian saying says a wet bride is a happy and lucky bride.’

Inside the wedding venue where A-listers will gather today

The island of San Giorgio Maggiore will be the backdrop to today’s wedding ceremony between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez

On the island there are 11 small chapels enclosed in private gardens which have been closed for several days and have previously been hired out by the super-rich.

Incredibly rich in history, the gardens include a 128-metre private library and also a maze which are both usually buzzing with tourists this time of year.

Gardeners, builders and electricians have been working to make sure all of the final details are complete ahead of the bride and groom’s arrival later today.

Around 30 ex-marine security men also patrolled the island, in what appeared to be them preparing for the arrival of the 200 guests.

Not a private members club in the traditional sense, the island is home to a sailing company that has private facilities on the island like a clubhouse which can also be used for events like weddings and gatherings.

However the private events are usually arranged with the money to then be donated to the islands charity, Fondazione Giorgio Cini.

The problem is with the Bezos wedding is we don’t know where that money is going. That’s been difficult and the thing we are upset about.

The multi-billionaire Amazon founder, 61, was seen stepping off a boat alongside his glamorous girlfriend, 55, at the luxury Aman Hotel on Wednesday.

After being dropped off by water taxi to the hotel’s private jetty, the couple were also joined by around 50 other of their closest guests and friends.

The couple chose Italy to host their wedding following a two-year engagement.

Hollywood A-listers and super-rich guests have made their way to San Giorgio Maggiore island in the Venetian Lagoon for what has been dubbed the ‘wedding of the century’.

But the nuptials have caused anger in Venice with protest banners, posters and graffitis plastered in recent days with activists planning to disrupt the celebrations.
