The defender, who made 78 appearances for Latics – including 49 last season – had the option to extend his initial two-year Latics deal by an extra 12 months. But The Oldham Times understands that in seeking the security of a two-year deal the 32-year-old’s attentions had to turn elsewhere.

Fleetwood were understood to be interested in the former Cheltenham Town defender, but it is Barrow who have secured Raglan’s signature.

A statement from Latics read: “Charlie Raglan will join Barrow following the end of his contract with Latics this summer.

“Raglan made 78 appearances for the club after arriving from Cheltenham in July 2023.

“We’d like to thank Charlie for his contributions at Latics, particularly his role in helping the club achieve promotion back to League Two. We wish Charlie all the best for the future.”
