Once Danny Rohl departs from Sheffield Wednesday, Dejphon Chansiri has sounded out a brilliant replacement for the German.
Sheffield Wednesday are undergoing turmoil right now as Dejphon Chansiri continues to be unable to pay a select number of players.
Chansiri is on the verge of yet another month of players still being left in the dark regarding their pay, whilst others, including Barry Bannan, are still yet to get confirmation as to whether their stay at Hillsborough will last past pre-season.
On the positive side, Sheffield Wednesday have made progress to relieve Danny Rohl of his duties – a departure that will be difficult for the Owls, but one that makes sense due to the German’s ambitions to move elsewhere. Chansiri will want to make sure that his delay wouldn’t impact pre-season.
As a result of Rohl’s likely departure, Sheffield Wednesday have sounded out potential options to replace their current boss, and they have stumbled across someone who could be a perfect option.

According to a report by The Star, Sheffield Wednesday are keen for Henrik Pedersen to succeed Rohl at Hillsborough Stadium.
Pedersen’s managerial experience comes in the form of a lengthy spell at Vendsyssel and Stromsgodset as head coach, but has also notably been assistant to Rohl since he joined at the back end of 2023.
Pedersen is a popular figure amongst the Sheffield Wednesday camp, and he would likely follow up Rohl’s philosophies, meaning that if the Owls are set to have a short pre-season with a head coach, the Danish-born 47-year-old can start now by implementing a style of play, assuming that he will take over from his German higher-up.

If Sheffield Wednesday fans need any more reason to know that Pedersen would be a brilliant Rohl replacement, they only need to listen to what the German said about his No. 2 when he joined the club.
“I’ve known Henrik for over 10 years. When I started my coaching career in Leipzig, he was a development coach for the philosophy, then he moved to RB Salzburg as a coach and we stayed in contact,” said Rohl when speaking about Pedersen back in 2023.
“He was then in Germany with Union Berlin and has a lot of experience. He understands my football and I like him as a person.
“We are really close and what I like is that he is a hard worker on the pitch, he is very powerful and this is what we need.”
Sheffield Wednesday will certainly be in good hands if they can secure a deal for Pedersen to attain the top job, but with the ongoing club situation, Chansiri will need to be persuasive.
