A major American burger chain has confirmed the opening date of its latest Liverpool site. Following the success of venues in Liverpool One, Queen Square and New Mersey Retail Park in Speke, Five Guys is preparing to launch in a different part of the city.
The fast-food brand is gearing up to welcome customers through its doors at the Liverpool Shopping Park on Edge Lane. As tradition, foodies can expect to find all the usual menu favourites at the new store.
This includes the classic cheeseburger to an all-beef hot dog and a bunless lettuce-wrapped burger. The business, which also operates in Bromborough and Cheshire Oaks, is also known for its milkshakes, ranging from Oreo flavour to fresh strawberries and even bacon.
Outlets offer 15 toppings for customers to choose from, meaning there are more than 250,000 possible combinations.

The company has now confirmed to the ECHO it will be opening on Monday, July 14 and will be the fourth UK store to boast a drive-thru.
District manager Adam Short said: “We’re delighted to be opening another location in Liverpool. We can’t wait to welcome locals and visitors alike to experience our classic menu, along with exciting new additions like drive-thru, breakfast and kids’ options. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at Five Guys”.
Founded in Virginia in 1986 and launched in the UK in 2013 in London’s Covent Garden, the American-diner style restaurant has become one of the UK’s popular restaurants and has amassed a loyal fanbase.

Photos had been previously circulating on social media show the brand has placed flags up around the area bearing a two-word message – “coming soon”. The flags were in the company’s signature colours – red and white.
Plans previously submitted to Liverpool Council indicated the proposed Edge Lane restaurant would become a drive-thru style provision. The requests include the installation of signage and LED boards for drivers to use around the building.

The new restaurant is thought to be a 15-year lease. Five Guys will be the latest food vendor to join the new look shopping park alongside Subway, Costa, Frankie and Benny’s and Greggs.
It was announced in June last year, that the shopping park would undergo an £11m makeover including the redevelopment of the existing Hollywood Bowl. You can see a full revamp of the family hotspot here.
