A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital this evening after he was assaulted by a stranger at a Greater Manchester train station.
Police rushed to Brinnington Station in Stockport after the assault on Saturday afternoon (June 28). A teenage boy was found with ‘minor injuries’ after being assaulted by an ‘unknown person’ who then fled, the force said.
Trains were stopped between Reddish North and Bredbury as officers dealt with the incident. The boy was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Service at Brinnington has resumed, according to National Rail.
