Tottenham could soon see a familiar face take up a role in the dugout at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Lilywhites have seen a number of former stars take up the mantle in various head coach roles, much to the delight of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.
This has most recently seen Ryan Mason take up a role with West Brom after many years of service on the coaching staff in North London.
Now it appears that another ex-Spurs man could be in line to take over from Danny Rohl as the German looks destined to leave.

It is fair to say that the Owls are one of the most controversial sides in English football right now due to their financial situation.
With their owner, Dejphon Chansiri, not paying out wages, the EFL have placed the blue half of the Steel City under transfer embargo.
As a result, it is little surprise that the head coach is having concerns over his future and is eyeing a move away from Hillsborough this summer.
This has now seen the 36-year-old be linked with a move to Leicester City after Ruud van Nistelrooy faced the sack earlier in the week [Daily Mail, 27 June].
As a result, Sheffield Wednesday will be on the lookout for a new manager, with former Tottenham man Michael Carrick in the running for the post.
This comes as BetVictor (28 June) has named the ex-Lilywhites ace as the third favourite to join the Owls at 8/1, narrowly behind Luke Williams at 6/1 and Henrik Pedersen at 4/6.

The former England international is coming off the back of a largely frustrating spell with Middlesbrough, where he failed to earn promotion back to the Premier League.
Last season culminated in a 10th-place finish, which clearly wasn’t seen as good enough by the hierarchy at the Riverside.

It appears that the 43-year-old could land a job almost instantly with Sheffield Wednesday, in a role that would certainly be tough and highly demanding.
It will be interesting to see if Carrick takes up the role and whether he would take any Spurs youngsters with him up north.
The likes of Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear have already been linked with the Championship, now potentially staring down the barrel at an Owls switch.
