Interim WBC super welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. is not a fan of Jake Paul.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer stretched his boxing record to 12-1 by beating former middleweight titleholder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by unanimous decision on Saturday night.

What was arguably a career-best win for Jake Paul propelled him into the WBA’s cruiserweight top 15.

23-0 superstar Vergil Ortiz Jr. can’t believe people are still taking fights like Paul vs Chavez Jr. seriously.

On Sunday, Ortiz Jr. posted a lengthy social media statement condemning the career of Paul.

The 27-year-old also called out those watching and supporting a man who is ‘destroying the sport’ of boxing.

“Jake Paul is scamming the entire world with his circus fights,” Ortiz tweeted.

“Selling them as real fights, but the entire world continues to eat it all up and then have the nerve to be disappointed because the circus fights they pay to watch aren’t real fights.

“He is single-handedly destroying the sport, and everyone else is enabling it. You guys are going to continue covering and watching the circuses, hoping for the umpteenth time that this circus will be real.

“What is it called again when you keep doing the same thing expecting different results?

“You have to applaud Jake Paul for keeping up the charade this long and for having everyone else still believe it.”

Jake Paul calls out five fighters

Despite the protestations from Ortiz Jr., Paul will return to the ring for another big fight later this year.

Exactly who his opponent will be remains a mystery as he called out several boxers after beating Chavez Jr.

“I want tougher fighters. I wanna be a world champion.” Paul said in the ring post-fight.

“Zurdo [Gilberto Ramirez] looked slow as s— tonight, that would be easy work, too.

“Badou Jack, I want everybody.

“Anthony Joshua, Gervonta [Davis], and Tommy [Fury], stop running.”

Paul faced off with Gilberto Ramirez backstage after their potential world title scrap became a real possibility.

It’s currently unclear who the frontrunner is as Paul begins his search for another big-name opponent.
