Glastonbury viewers were left saying the same thing about Sir Rod Stewart as he took to the stage during the closing day of this year’s festival.
Bagpipes signalled the arrival of the Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? and Maggie May hitmaker as he took to Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage for the festival’s coveted legends slot on Sunday (June 29).
Kicking off his performance the veteran rocker exploded into his 1981 hit, Tonight I’m Yours (Don’t Hurt Me), before he told the bustling crowd: “Enjoy yourselves ladies and gentlemen, please,” says Rod. “Music brings us together. We need music.”
He then went into Having a Party before Some Guys Have All The Luck and later First Cut Is The Deepest followed by Tonight’s The Night.
But many of those tuning in to watch his set unfold were left awestruck by the Scottish singer’s age – as he continues to give it everything he’s got at 80 years old.
@Vickesh said: “Rod Stewart is so impressive! 80 years old! #Glastonbury.” @jess100wcc commented: “Say what u want about rod stewart but for 80 years old he’s f*okin amazing.”
