Worcester Street Sixes, a six-a-side cricket event organised by the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, across Cathedral Square and Worcester High Street.
The tournament invites businesses to take part in a day of friendly competition, team-building, and community support, with all funds raised going toward cricket programmes in the area.
Billy Clark, executive director of the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, said: “Worcester Street Sixes is one of the most exciting dates in our calendar.
“It’s all about having fun with your team, showing some competitive spirit, and helping make a real difference to the communities we support.
“Businesses love the energy, the crowd, and the cause.
“It’s sport with real purpose.”
Each team can include up to 10 players and will play using a softball format, making the event accessible to all, regardless of cricket experience.
The entry fee is £500 per team and includes full participation, promotional opportunities, and a guaranteed spot in the tournament.
Elsa-Marie Evans, event coordinator, said: “We’re inviting companies of all shapes and sizes to get involved.
“Whether you’re cricket pros or total novices, this is a great chance to raise your profile, support a brilliant charity, and enjoy a summer day to remember.
“There’ll be music, a fantastic crowd, and, of course, some trophies up for grabs!”
Proceeds from the event will support the foundation’s work in youth development, disability cricket, mental health initiatives, and efforts to make the sport more inclusive across Worcestershire.
This includes coaching in schools, community cricket hubs, and outreach programmes designed to make cricket accessible to all.
