In her FIR, the woman stated that she had been involved in a five-year relationship with Dayal.

Indian and RCB fast bowler Yash Dayal, who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has allegedly been accused by a woman of mental, emotional, and physical abuse under the pretense of marriage. According to India Today, the woman lodged her complaint through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online portal, IGRS.

In response, the Chief Minister’s office instructed the Circle Officer (CO) of Indirapuram to prepare a formal investigation report. The Ghaziabad police have been given until July 21 to address the matter, although Crictoday has not been able to verify the report independently.

The woman first submitted her complaint on June 14, but she stated that the police didn’t take any action. After seeing no progress, she escalated her grievance to the Chief Minister’s office seeking justice.

In her FIR, the woman stated that she had been involved in a five-year relationship with Dayal. “Over the past five years, the complainant was involved with a cricketer who exploited her emotionally, mentally, and physically by deceiving her with false promises of marriage. He introduced her to his family and acted as though he was her husband, which led her to place complete trust in him,” the FIR stated.

The complaint goes on to claim that when the woman confronted Dayal about his intentions, she was met with abuse. “Upon discovering the deception and raising her concerns, she faced physical violence and mental harassment. Throughout the relationship, she was also subjected to financial and emotional exploitation,” the complaint alleged.

She claims to have “chat records, screenshots, video calls, and photos as proof” to support her allegations.

The FIR concludes with a call for a prompt and unbiased investigation, urging that legal steps be taken against the accused. “This is not just important for me but for all young women who fall prey to such deceitful relationships,” the complaint stated.

Dayal, who was most recently seen playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League 2025, has yet to make a statement regarding the allegations.
