Danny Rohl is set for a new adventure away from Sheffield Wednesday and all roads lead to Leicester City.
Rohl has informed the Wednesday players that he will be leaving the club and reports have suggested that Leicester have entered talks with the Owls over a compensation package.
The Foxes sacked Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rohl has become the favourite for the job amid the crisis at Hillsborough.
If appointed by Leicester, Rohl would want to bring in his own coaching staff and there’s one obvious candidate he should bring to the King Power Stadium.

As fate would have it, Rohl could end up facing Wednesday on the opening weekend of the 25/26 Championship season.
Even though the German is experienced at Championship level now, coming into Leicester will be an enormous task and he needs someone he can trust.
That’s why Chris Powell is the perfect candidate for so many reasons. Powell is part of the Wednesday manager’s backroom staff but crucially has previous with Leicester.

Powell briefly spent time with the Foxes as a player, finishing his career there between 2009-2010 and worked as a coach up until January 2011 before becoming Charlton Athletic’s manager.
Although he was at Leicester well over a decade ago, he knows better than anyone the fan expectation and how to get on the side of the fanbase.
He also knows how Rohl works having been a part of his backroom staff since 2023. It’s a move that makes sense for all.
Chris Powell has fond memories of Leicester
Although he didn’t play much for Leicester, Powell has always been well-liked by supporters and has a soft spot for the Foxes too.
During his time as Charlton manager, the former England coach had plenty of praise for the club.
During a 2013 press conference before the Addicks faced Leicester, he said: “Leicester fans are very good fans.
“I had a wonderful time there,” he said. “It’s a superb football club. It will be great to go back.”
