Oleksandr Usyk will face Daniel Dubois for a second time having beaten him in 2023, but Usyk has also beaten the one other man to hand Dubois a defeat.
Oleksandr Usyk is hoping to put any low-blow controversy to bed as he is set to rematch Daniel Dubois on July 19th at Wembley Stadium.
Usyk defeated Dubois in 2023 via round nine KO, though Dubois has been on a dominant run of form since then, picking up much-needed confidence with wins over Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua.
Dubois has just one other loss on his record, to a ‘Juggernaut’ Usyk defeated in 2013.

In 2020, Joe ‘The Juggernaut’ Joyce became the first man to defeat, and stop, Daniel Dubois.
Dubois was knocked out by a left jab, having taken a knee due to a fractured eye socket caused by Joyce.
While many ruled Dubois out, Joyce went on an impressive run, eventually defeating Joseph Parker, who is now touted as one of the heavyweight division’s greatest fighters.
Things went wrong for Joyce when he faced Zhilei Zhang, taking two damaging stoppage losses that changed him as a fighter. He has since lost to Derek Chisora and Filip Hrgovic.
It was in 2013, though, that Usyk was standing opposite Joyce in the amateur World Series of Boxing.
Usyk defeated Joyce, winning every round on all three scorecards, and Joyce had previously spoken on getting his revenge, though that now seems like a fight that will never and should never materialise.
Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 isn’t the only mega-fight on July 19th
Usyk vs Dubois 2 tops a card that will also feature Kevin Lerena, who dropped Dubois three times, vs Lawrence Okolie. Dubois thinks Okolie will beat Lerena.
In the United States, though, another mega-fight will take place as Manny Pacquiao is set to return to the ring at the age of 46 against welterweight world champion Mario Barrios, who was born months after Pacquiao turned pro as a fighter.

Pacquiao won his first world title when Barrios was three years old.
Also on that card, Tim Tszyu will rematch Sebastian Fundora after their bloodbath first encounter, and Isaac Cruz will face Angel Fierro for a second time.
