Hillcroft Nursing & Residential Care Home in Wordsley, near Stourbridge, has facilities for people with physical needs and for people living with dementia.

It has been sold by Astley Care to Gugan Healthcare for an undisclosed sum.

Montane Care brokered the deal on behalf of Astley Care, which is owned by Jay Patel and continues to operate five homes across the Midlands and Cheshire.

The acquisition marks a return to the sector by Gugan, which sold its previous care home in North Wales last year.

Montane Care, which provides commercial advice on the sale and acquisition of care homes and childcare facilities across the UK, is part of the Montane group of businesses, which has its headquarters in Buxton, Derbyshire, and an office in Chorley.

The group includes Montane Finance, an award-winning, independent finance broker for the hospitality and healthcare sectors, and Montane Insurance, a boutique commercial broker for the hospitality and healthcare sectors.
