A TEENAGER was sexually assaulted as she sat on a train sparking a police hunt.

The victim, 18, was attacked by a man who took the seat beside her on the Glasgow Central to Ayr service.

He is described as white, slim, aged in his early 20s and with short dark hair.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, to come forward and assist the investigation.”

The teen was targeted aboard the southbound service around 8pm on June 9.

The fiend was wearing a yellow Columbia jacket, black joggers and was carrying a green duffle bag.
