The PSNI has said that two children were transported to hospital after a collision between a car and scooter in Belfast.

Police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a scooter in the Broadway area of south Belfast at around 2.55pm on Wednesday 2 July.

It’s understood the incident involved an electric scooter.

Officers attended, alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

Two children were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries, which aren’t believed to be life-threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a 999 call at 2.58pm on Wednesday 2 July, following reports of an road traffic collision in the Broadway Link area.

NIAS despatched three Emergency Ambulance Crews.

Two patients were taken to Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children.
