Manchester United are currently scouring the transfer market in a bid to rebuild Ruben Amorim’s squad ahead of his first full season in charge.

However, transfer business from the Red Devils has become somewhat stagnant, waiting for a deal for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo to go through.

Unfortunately for United, with the financial struggles currently faced by the club, no further deals can be progressed alongside Mbeumo’s move without making significant sales first.

With £62.5 million already committed to Wolverhampton Wanderers for Matheus Cunha and another approximate £65 million headed to Brentford, United’s purse strings are tighter than ever.

As such, INEOS are looking to offload Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho in a bid to generate some serious funds for new signings.

Rashford and Garnacho would also give a major boost for the Red Devils, being graduates of the United academy, therefore constituting as pure profit under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

However, with Napoli seemingly uninterested in a move for Garnacho this summer, Give Me Sport has reported that United have turned to intermediaries to understand if Chelsea are still looking to the 21-year-old.

The Blues first started targeting Garnacho in the winter transfer window with a potential swap-deal considered including Christopher Nkunku.

The deal was revisited only a month ago, as United are still looking for a striker to replace Rasmus Hojlund with the Denmark international looking increasingly likely to depart Old Trafford this summer.

United are hoping to get an answer from the intermediaries soon to understand what Garnacho’s future could look like once and for all.

The Argentine has had a valuation of £70 million put on him by United due to his clear potential and ability as well as youth being on his side.

However, Chelsea have already been on a spending spree, signing United target Liam Delap from Ipswich and now Joao Pedro from Brighton for a combined £85 million.

That said, there is expected to be a major series of offloads at Stamford Bridge as the Premier League side look to cut the numbers in their squad, potentially freeing up funds for the young winger.
