More than just another restaurant, Oro Nami aims to be a refined celebration of flavor, tradition and innovation. The Pennsylvania Avenue eatery combines minimalist elegance with a curated menu that redefines kosher sushi—offering meticulously sourced fish, artistically plated rolls and handcrafted drinks in a modern, lounge-style setting.

“Opening this restaurant has been a dream of mine for years,” said Harrison Furman, a managing partner. “There’s been a real demand in D.C. for upscale kosher dining that doesn’t compromise on creativity or ambiance. With Oro Nami, we’re not just filling that gap — we’re raising the bar.”

The atmosphere is as carefully crafted as the cuisine. With vibrant interiors and a serene dining space, the restaurant blends traditional Japanese techniques with global kosher standards.

“Guests can expect an elevated experience — colorful interiors and an immersive dining experience that blends traditional Japanese techniques with global kosher standards,” said co-owner Dino Lonzano, who is also the CEO of Market Street Diamonds in Georgetown.

Oro Nami is certified kosher under the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington. Rabbi Zvi Holland, rabbinic coordinator with Capitol K, praised the new addition to the city’s food scene.

“All of the rabbis on the Vaad are excited about the opportunity to expand kosher options in D.C.,” Holland said.

The restaurant’s debut was preceded by a VIP soft opening, drawing an enthusiastic crowd. Oro Nami is set apart not only by its food and decor, but by its hours — remaining open until 10 p.m., a rare offering among D.C.’s kosher establishments, which typically close earlier.

“Oro Nami was created with one clear mission: to bring world-class kosher sushi and handcrafted drinks to Washington, D.C.,” the owners said in a statement. “We’re more than a sushi restaurant — we’re a celebration of flavor and tradition.”

Fresh. Kosher. Unforgettable.
