The biggest thorn in Manchester United’s side could soon be removed if all goes to plan this summer.

This summer, Manchester United planned to complete an overhaul with numerous positions on the shortlist to strengthen.

In addition, Ineos were planning to for at least 10 exits, however, to date there have been just three players to depart, with no sales.

The need for a clear-out comes with Ruben Amorim only considering four players irreplaceable, which leaves lots of work for the club to do which no longer looks feasible this summer.

United return to pre-season on July 7th and by this stage, Amorim will hope for at least one more signing in the form of Bryan Mbeumo along with a sale.

Right now, no sale looks closer than Jadon Sancho.

Ineos thought they had solved their Sancho headache last summer, arranging a loan with an obligation to buy with Chelsea for the winger. However, for some reason, United gave Chelsea an escape route and they paid £5m to avoid signing Sancho.

However, it soon became apparent that there was plenty of interest in the English forward, with Juventus very keen on Sancho amid talks. Now, Fabrizio Romano has issued an update alongside Matteo Moretto, explaining that while ongoing, there is still a big hurdle to overcome.

“Juve is continuing to talk to Jadon Sancho’s agents. It’s a direct negotiation, without intermediaries, so Juve is working directly with the agents of Jadon Sancho to understand the feasibility of the operation.

“The crux remains that of the salary. Sancho is a very high salary that he had received from Manchester United when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund, so Juve will now have to decide how and if to proceed.

“This is a bit of the crux of the operation with Manchester United, but the contacts between Juve and Sancho continue to understand the feasibility of the operation. It’s not just Juventus, there are also several teams abroad, but in the end, we’ll see how Juve chooses to proceed.”

Sancho’s gigantic wage demands are not going to be paid by anyone, so if the player is planning to salvage his career then he needs to take a hit on the wages and play his way back up to demanding big money.

As of now, Sancho is one of the worst signings in United history and no matter what, the story between the two will end within 12 months.

Di Marzio says Manchester United not ruling out Jadon Sancho loan

While there are positive signs that Juventus will sign Sancho this summer, things could collapse at any stage as it will be an expensive deal for the Italian side.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that United have requested £25m to sell Sancho and prefer a definitive exit for the former Dortmund ace.

However, the Italian journalist adds that a loan cannot be ruled out by United as there will be a keenness not to have the player in the squad this season.

Sancho’s contract expires in 2026, so a loan would likely just be to shift his wages before the 25-year-old would then be available for free next summer.
