Prince William, Kate Middleton to waive off major rule for Prince Louis
Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have remained particular about the future royal roles of their children, are seemingly making an exception for their youngest.
Prince Louis, 7, may be taking a step ahead from his older siblings, Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10, as he is set to make a major appearance.
The cheeky Wales child, who has never been at Wimbledon, is expected to break a major tradition as he is tipped to attend the sporting event.
It was previously suggested that Louis, unlike George and Charlotte, has not been seen at any sporting event with either William or Kate was due to his age – which the Prince and Princess of Wales had set for their children.
Charlotte stepped out on the final day of Wimbledon 2023 along with George when she was eight. At the time, Kate had shared that Louis was “very upset” that he was left out.
The seven-year-old is now at the threshold of the minimum age for attending the game, it is possible that he William and Kate would give in, and waive off the special rule.
Louis also broke a longstanding tradition for male members of royalty and aristocracy in which they are to wear shorts until the age of eight. However, Louis broke that last year during Trooping the Colour when he wore trousers and matched with his brother for the royal event.
