A Pan-Asian restaurant chain is setting up shop in one of Bristol’s most popular locations.
Described as serving up ‘elevated Pan-Asian street food’, Chi currently boasts seven locations and will be opening up its eighth on Gloucester Road in North Bristol ‘soon’.
According to its website, which does not yet have a confirmed opening date for the Bristol venue, the new restaurant will be in a “vibrant and diverse area of Gloucester Road, known for its independent businesses and lively atmosphere”.
Signage is already up on the front of number 301 Gloucester Road, in Bishopston, at time of writing.
The venue is just two doors down from Horfield Post Office.
The restaurant brand goes on to say: “At Chi, we take pride in showcasing the rich and diverse flavours of Asia.
“From the aromatic spices of Katsu curry and the artistry of bao to the soulful donbori rice bowl, our menu offers a delightful fusion of authentic dishes from across the continent.

“Chi provides the perfect setting for a casual lunch, family dinner, or a memorable occasion with friends.
“Come and immerse yourself in the tantalizing world of Chi, where the essence of Asia comes to life.”
When clicking through to the Bristol venue’s page on the website, three menus are already available to view, including an a la carte menu, daily specials menu, and kids menu.
Dishes at Chi are ‘designed to be shared as a tapas style experience’ with the recommendation of two to three dishes per person.
The menu includes everything from sushi and snacks, like prawn crackers and edamame, to small plates such as gyoza, Korean fried chicken, Korean beef tacos, bang bang king prawns, spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, Vietnamese dirty fries, Asian savoury doughnut, and Char-Siu pork belly.
There’s also a range of baos to choose from, dishes ‘from the grill’ (like short rib, skewers and wings), Asian favourites like sweet and sour and curries, as well as rice, noodles, and ramen.
Then, there is a range of desserts to choose from – even including a sticky toffee pudding – as well as cocktails and hot drinks.
Other Chi restaurants can be found in Basingstoke, Dartford, Cambridge, New Oxford Street, Northampton, Rushden, and a street food location in Derby.
